Summary of Blood of Elves Novel
The story starts when the empire of Nilfgaard attacks on the kingdom of Cintra. The queen named Calanthe commits suicide and her granddaughter Cirilla who is known as Ciri and Lion Cub of Cintra somehow flees from the city. But the emperor of Nilfgaard understands the importance of the young girl as she possesses some magical power and elven blood in her vein. So the emperor sends spies to find her.
The girl is safeguarded by a witcher named Geralt of Rivia and takes her to Kaer Morhen which is known as the witcher keep. There she gets trained by some experienced old witchers. But Geralt gets afraid of some of her occasional abnormal behavior and asks help from Triss. Triss refers Ciri to Yennefer, the former lover of Geralt.
Meanwhile, there appears a mysterious wizard called Rience who is looking for the girl. So Geralt along with Ciri and Triss leaves for Ellander. Yennefer reaches there and helps Ciri to get over her unusual behaviors. On the other hand, Geralt tracks Rience but Geralt gets greatly wounded by him. Yennefer becomes like a mother and mentor to Ciri and at the last, they both leave the Ellander.

While reading this book you will get astonished by the magical powers and potentials mentioned in the book. When the queen of Cintra committed suicide, her granddaughter Ciri manages to escape from there. She was taken to the Witcher keep by the monster slayer Geralt of Rivia.
There she was taught how to fight the monster with a sword in witcher style. But she was haunted by the magical powers she possessed. So she was taken to Yennefer who was much powerful to understand Ciri’s problem and rescue her. A wizard named Rience tried hard to find Ciri but she was protected nicely.
As this book is the first novel of a witcher series the ending doesn’t reveal any conclusion. But you will surely love the way the author built a world of fantasy where dark cynical humor is present. Besides, you will get a glimpse of the Polish tradition of using magical potential and many more.
